Can we create a better buying experience for Vaporizer consumers?

The Challenge

Vapergy approached us to create a new front-end and back-end e-commerce platform for their revolutionary vaporizer product.

Our Approach

After analyzing the challenges, we fleshed out our objectives:

• Design an e-commerce backend API
• Create a web user-facing e-commerce site
• Develop iOS and Android applications that also consumes the API
• Containerize the application such that the key parts of the platform were separate services

First, we went to the drawing board to architect a reliable API design that was scalable and extendable as the platform grew. Second, we developed the e-commerce backend and frontend with Node.js and React. For the mobile application, given the requirements, we went with a React native hybrid approach as we were already using ReactJS on the web frontend.

The Results

Deployed on the AWS cloud, the entire system scaled effectively to thousands of users, and new features were easily added and the platform improved upon without any downtime.
